(EDTA), also known by several other names, is a chemical used for both industrial and medical purposes.

EDTA-FeNa is used in the sealing range of pH 4-7, chelates 4 bonds, and has a stability constant of 25. It is fully water-soluble, dissolves quickly, and does not agglomerate.

It is used in agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry, or other cash crops. In fertilizer production, it can be widely used as an additive for foliar fertilizers, flushing fertilizers, drip irrigation fertilizers, water-soluble fertilizers, organic fertilizers, and compound fertilizers.

It can be used for foliar spraying, flushing, drip irrigation, and soilless cultivation, and can also be used alone.

It is an amino polycarboxylic acid and a colorless, water-soluble solid.It is widely used to dissolve limescale. Its usefulness arises because of its role as a hexadentate ("six-toothed") ligand and chelating agent, i.e., its ability to "sequester" metal ions such as Ca2+ and Fe3+. After being bound by EDTA into a metal complex, metal ions remain in solution but exhibit diminished reactivity. EDTA is produced as several salts, notably disodium EDTA and calcium disodium EDTA.
